FY24 Community Grants Results
The FY24 Community Grants review and awarding process is complete with Notification Letters sent to all applicants.
The Office of Grants Management (OGM) received over 310 applications with the value of requests totaling nearly $50 million with less than six million available for awards; an 8.5 to one ratio of requests received to funds available. Given the large number of Review Committee members, the extraordinary competitiveness of the grant program, and the inevitable variances in scoring trends between reviewers, OGM adopted a statistical rescaling methodology used by other grantors to mitigate these reviewer scoring variances. The final list of award winners was determined by a combination of Reviewer Average Rescaled Scores, Funding Category applied under, consensus on Overall Funding Recommendation, consensus on Filling County Gaps, and consensus on Underserved Community Base. After applying this methodology, Review Committee members' scores resulted in recommended support for 119 applications with a total average recommended funding of nearly $17 million. This amount exceeded available funds by over $11 million. Only 47 proposals were recommended and approved for funding with the limited resources available.
